Today was a great day! I woke up early and a new painting was in my head. I right away went to studio and didn't leave until I walked out with this.....
I painted this one in just under 4 hours and it is my 2nd "Painting a Day" piece. Mr. Browbark needed some grooming and this little elf was nearby to help out. The original watercolor is available here

I LOVE THIS ONE-- I VISIT HERE ALOT, SINCE I RAN ACROSS YOUR PAGE.
This one is so sweet, I love how you portray emotion in your paintings, James. Looking forward to more!
Beautiful piece and such a darling concept! :) How big is it originally?
I thought about the painting a day (used to do an ACEO a week), but I also teach and during the summer it would be quite the challenge! Its a challenge just to get time to read scripture! oy! That bugs me more than anything, so maybe someday I can jump in the band wagon of "a painting a day". Till then...
Many Blessings!
Thank you Avery!
Wendy, you are so sweet!
Jump right on Sara! That would be great to try the "painting a day" thing. I know that you have the inspiration, right? I've been spending about 2 to 4 hrs on these first few (early in the morning is when I find it best), but I must say that I still have a big workload with my other work, so I will have to try to keep these little paintings to about 2hrs each. This painting was 5x7 in. But yes, make time for walking in the Scripture, that is truly living. God Bless.
This is my "PRINCE"!
He looks at me with those same eyes. I love it!!
Smiling back at you both!!
Leslie
